Nabil Bank has launched a Nepal–India–Nepal cross-border person-to-person (P2P) remittance service aimed at simplifying digital money transfers between the two neighboring countries.

According to the bank, the new service allows customers to send and receive funds instantly through a secure digital platform, making cross-border transactions faster and more convenient.

Under the service, Indian citizens holding accounts with Nabil Bank can use the bank's mobile banking application, nBank, to instantly transfer money to family members and friends residing in India. Similarly, both Nepali and Indian citizens can send funds directly to Nabil Bank users in Nepal quickly and efficiently.

The bank stated that the service has been designed to make cross-border payments simpler, safer, and more accessible for customers in both countries.

Nabil Bank Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali said the initiative represents a significant step toward making international payments faster and more seamless.

“This service is an important milestone in simplifying cross-border payments. It reflects our commitment to enhancing digital banking services and expanding customer convenience in both Nepal and India,” Gyawali said.

According to the bank, customers can transfer up to INR 15,000 per day and a maximum of INR 100,000 per month from Nepal to India. For transfers from India to Nepal, customers can send up to INR 200,000 per day, with no monthly transfer limit currently in place.

The launch comes amid growing efforts to strengthen digital financial connectivity between Nepal and India and promote seamless cross-border payment systems.
