NADA Auto Show coordinator Anup Kumar Baral has criticized the NAIMA Auto Show, claiming that NADA is the genuine auto show while NAIMA is a copy.
NADA Auto Show coordinator Anup Kumar Baral has made strong remarks about the NAIMA Auto Show, claiming that NADA is the genuine event while NAIMA Auto Show is a copy.
Baral argued that NADA has a history spanning around 50 years and therefore should not be compared with an auto show organized by a relatively new organization.
He stated that “NADA Auto Show is genuine and NAIMA Auto Show is a copy,” emphasizing his view that NADA has an established identity and legacy in Nepal’s automobile industry.
According to Baral, NADA is not merely an organization that hosts an annual auto show. It has members across all seven provinces and more than 2,800 member organizations associated with it.
Baral also said that every organization has its own values and identity and that NADA respects NAIMA and its activities. However, he maintained that an organization with NADA’s five-decade history should not be compared with a newer organization at this stage.
The Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) is scheduled to organize the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 from Bhadra 9 to 14 at Bhrikutimandap. The growing number of automobile exhibitions in Nepal has intensified competition and public discussion within the country’s automotive sector.
