Nepal's Department of Land Management and Archives collected nearly Rs 11.95 billion in revenue from land and property transactions during Asar, making it the highest monthly collection of the fiscal year 2082/83. Baisakh recorded the second-highest collection at around Rs 6.26 billion.

According to the department, land transaction revenue gradually improved throughout the fiscal year, with a significant jump in Asar as buyers rushed to complete transactions before higher capital gains tax rates came into effect from Shrawan 1. Officials said the latest collection marks the highest monthly land revenue recorded since the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2015 Gorkha earthquake.
