Bhaskar Joshi, an employee of Nepal Investment Mega Bank, has been arrested and handed over to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) for further investigation.

According to police officials, Joshi was detained by immigration authorities upon arriving in Kathmandu from India on an Air India flight. His name had reportedly been placed on an immigration watchlist, prompting authorities to stop him at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Following the detention, immigration officials informed the CIB, which subsequently took custody of Joshi. The bureau is currently investigating him in relation to a government property auction case.

Police spokesperson Deep Shamsher Jabara confirmed that Joshi has been handed over to the CIB and that further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, Pramod Acharya, Information Officer of Nepal Investment Mega Bank, confirmed that Bhaskar Raj Joshi is an employee of the bank but stated that he had no official information regarding the arrest.
