Nepal Oil Corporation Cuts Fuel Prices; Petrol Down Rs. 20, Diesel Rs. 30 and LPG Rs. 100
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel and LPG effective immediately.

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The revised prices were approved by the corporation's Board of Directors during its meeting on Tuesday and have come into effect immediately.
Under the new pricing structure, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 20 per litre, while diesel and kerosene have become cheaper by Rs. 30 per litre. Similarly, the price of domestic aviation fuel has been cut by Rs. 40 per litre, while international aviation fuel for Kathmandu has been reduced by USD 265 per kilolitre.
Consumers will also benefit from a Rs. 100 reduction in the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder, bringing the new retail price down to Rs. 2,060 from the previous Rs. 2,160.
According to the revised price list, Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal (Category III) will now see petrol priced at Rs. 197 per litre and diesel/kerosene at Rs. 195 per litre.
In Category I locations, including Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj, petrol will cost Rs. 194.50 per litre, while diesel and kerosene will be sold at Rs. 192.50 per litre.
For Surkhet and Dang (Category II), petrol is now priced at Rs. 196 per litre, while diesel and kerosene cost Rs. 194 per litre.
The new price of domestic aviation fuel has been fixed at Rs. 229 per litre. Meanwhile, international aviation fuel has been priced at USD 1,566 per kilolitre for Kathmandu, USD 1,100 for Pokhara, and USD 1,085 for Bhairahawa.
NOC stated that the latest adjustment was made under its automatic pricing mechanism following fluctuations in international petroleum prices and the revised fuel purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
