Nepal Rastra Bank Invites Bids for Rs. 25 Billion Government Bond Issue
Nepal Rastra Bank has invited online bids for the issuance of Rs. 25 billion worth of 'Rinpatra 2084 (Nga)'.

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced an online auction for the issuance of Rs. 25 billion worth of 'Rinpatra 2084 (Nga)'.
According to the central bank's public notice, the auction will be conducted through an online bidding system. Only Class A, B, and C banks and financial institutions licensed by NRB and recognized as counterparties are eligible to participate.
Participating institutions are required to specify both the amount they intend to subscribe and the proposed interest rate in their bids. The interest rate can be quoted up to four decimal places, as stated by the central bank.
NRB has set the minimum bid amount at Rs. 50 million, with additional bids required to be submitted in multiples of Rs. 50 million, up to the total issuance amount of Rs. 25 billion.
The central bank regularly issues government securities to manage liquidity in the financial system and support the implementation of Nepal's monetary policy.
