Nepal Receives Rs. 2.12 Trillion in Remittances in 11 Months
Nepal's remittance inflows surged 38.2% year-on-year to Rs. 2.12 trillion during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, according to Nepal Rastra Bank.
Nepal received remittances worth Rs. 2.1208 trillion during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, marking a 38.2% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the latest Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation Report published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
The central bank reported that remittance inflows in Jestha alone reached Rs. 203.89 billion, up from Rs. 176.32 billion recorded in the same month of the previous fiscal year. In US dollar terms, remittance inflows increased by 29.6% during the review period to USD 14.59 billion, reflecting continued growth in foreign earnings sent home by Nepali workers.
