Nepal Stock Market to Remain Closed for Three Consecutive Days From Tomorrow
Nepal's stock market will remain closed for three consecutive days from Ashoj 9 due to the Indra Jatra public holiday and regular weekend holidays, with trading resuming on Ashoj 12.
Nepal's stock market will remain closed for three consecutive days starting tomorrow, Ashoj 9, Friday. The closure is due to a public holiday for Indra Jatra followed by the regular weekly holidays.
The government has declared a public holiday in Kathmandu Valley on Ashoj 9 Friday on the occasion of Indra Jatra. Since the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) office is located in Kathmandu, the stock market will also remain closed on the public holiday.
Ashoj 10, Saturday and Ashoj 11, Sunday are regular weekly holidays. As a result, the stock market will remain closed from Friday through Sunday for three consecutive days.
Trading on the Nepal Stock Exchange will resume normally from Ashoj 12, Monday.
Investors will be able to resume regular share trading once the market reopens after the three-day holiday.
