The Nepal Teachers' Federation (NTF) has announced that it will begin a nationwide protest from the month of Bhadra, citing unresolved educational and professional demands.
The decision was made during the Federation's Third National Council Meeting, where a 15-point resolution was made public through a press conference. Federation President Laxmi Kishor Subedi said the movement would focus on long-standing agreements, education-sector reforms, and teachers' professional rights.
According to the Federation, the authority to determine the exact dates and protest schedule has been delegated to its extended executive committee, which will announce the detailed program after completing necessary preparations.
The Federation has reiterated demands including the implementation of previous agreements, the prompt enactment of the School Education Act, and the resolution of various issues related to teachers and school employees.
