Nepal Thanks UAE for Granting Royal Pardon to 111 Nepali Prisoners
The Government of Nepal has expressed gratitude to the UAE for granting a royal pardon to 111 Nepali prisoners on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha 2026.

The Government of Nepal has expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for granting a royal pardon to 111 Nepali prisoners on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha 2026.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal described the humanitarian gesture as a reflection of the deep friendship, goodwill, and strong bilateral relations between Nepal and the UAE.
According to the ministry, the royal pardon was granted in response to a request made by the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, following instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry stated that the pardoned Nepali citizens will be eligible to return to Nepal after completing the required legal and administrative procedures under UAE law, provided they are not subject to any other pending legal cases or travel restrictions.
The Government of Nepal also thanked the UAE for its generous gesture and expressed confidence that the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
