NEPSE closed marginally higher at 2,780.25 points on Wednesday, gaining 2.66 points despite intraday volatility
NEPSE Edges Higher as Turnover Crosses Rs. 5.73 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed slightly higher on Wednesday, gaining 2.66 points (0.09%) to settle at 2,780.25 despite significant intraday volatility.
Market activity improved compared to the previous session, with total turnover reaching Rs. 5.73 billion. More than 13.5 million shares were traded through 62,148 transactions during the day.
Sector-wise, Non-Life Insurance stocks attracted strong investor interest, recording a gain of 3.37%. In contrast, the Finance and Others sectors declined by 1.17% and 2.36%, respectively.
Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) emerged as the top gainer of the day, with its share price surging 14.99%. Meanwhile, Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Limited (AKJCL) recorded the highest turnover, with shares worth Rs. 44.23 crore traded.
Out of 347 listed companies traded during the session, 149 advanced, 116 declined, and the remaining stocks closed unchanged, reflecting a mixed but positive market sentiment.
