NEPSE Closed Today on Buddha Jayanti and Labour Day
Nepal’s stock market remains closed today due to a public holiday declared for Buddha Jayanti and International Labour Day.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) remains closed today as the Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti and International Labour Day.
As a result, no trading activities are taking place today. The stock market will resume its regular operations on Monday (Baisakh 21, 2083) from 11:00 AM.
Buddha Jayanti, also known as Buddha Purnima, marks the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha and is widely observed with prayers, meditation, and religious activities.
International Labour Day, celebrated globally on May 1, honors the contributions of workers and recognizes the historic labor movement’s efforts for fair wages, safe working conditions, and workers’ rights.
