NEPSE Declines Despite Rs. 5.61 Billion Turnover; Hydropower and Insurance Stocks Dominate Trading
Nepal's stock market witnessed a negative trading session despite strong turnover of over Rs. 5.61 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed lower in Monday's trading session despite recording robust market activity and turnover exceeding Rs. 5.61 billion.
According to NEPSE data, a total of 33.83 million shares were traded during the day, generating a turnover of approximately Rs. 5.61 billion.
In terms of transaction value, Ankhu Khola Jalvidyut Company Limited emerged as the most actively traded company of the day. Other companies among the top turnover leaders included Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited, Ridi Power Company Limited, and National Hydropower Company Limited.
Among the day's top gainers were investors in Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited, Kalinchowk Hydropower Limited, Citizens Bank International Limited Debenture, Central Finance Limited, and Civil Bank Debenture securities.
On the losing side, investors in Bungal Hydropower Company Limited, Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited, Bishal Bazar Company Limited, NIBL Samriddhi Fund II, and Nepal Republic Media Limited recorded the largest declines.
Sector-wise, market sentiment remained weak. Out of the 13 trading sub-indices, only two managed to post gains, while the remaining eleven sectors closed in negative territory, reflecting broad-based selling pressure across the market.
