NEPSE Declines Slightly, Trading Volume Reaches NPR 3.41 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index recorded a modest decline of 5.06 points on Thursday, closing near the 2,700-point level.

A total of 347 listed companies traded approximately 7.47 million shares during the session, generating a turnover of more than NPR 3.41 billion.

Among the 13 sectoral indices, eight closed lower while five posted gains, reflecting mixed market sentiment despite the overall decline in the benchmark index.

Apollo Hydro Power emerged as the top-performing stock of the day, delivering a gain of around 15 percent to investors.

Although the benchmark index ended in negative territory, trading activity remained healthy, with turnover exceeding NPR 3 billion, indicating continued investor participation and liquidity in the market.
