NEPSE Ends the Week Lower as Market Slips 2 Points, Rs 3.94 Billion Worth of Shares Traded
Nepal's stock market closed slightly lower on the final trading day of the week, with the NEPSE Index falling 2 points to 2,649.51

Nepal's stock market ended the final trading session of the week on a slightly negative note, with the NEPSE Index declining by 2 points to close at 2,649.51.
According to the day's trading data, 359 listed companies, including shares and debentures, recorded transactions totaling 7.727 million shares, generating a turnover of approximately Rs 3.94 billion.
Among the most actively traded securities were Snow River, Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower, Yambaling Hydropower, and NMB Debenture, reflecting continued investor interest despite the market's overall weakness.
While the broader market remained under pressure, several securities recorded notable gains. On the losing side, Kalika Hydropower Financial Institution, Saptakoshi Development Bank, NIC Asia Debenture, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, and Maikhola Hydropower Company declined between 3.77% and 10.76%.
In terms of transaction value, Global IME Bank Debenture, Nepal Bank Debenture, Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company, and City Hotel Limited were among the top contributors, with individual trading volumes ranging from Rs 115.4 million to Rs 331.6 million.
Although the market ended the week in negative territory, healthy trading turnover indicates that investor participation remains active as participants continue to monitor economic developments and upcoming corporate announcements.
