NEPSE Ends Week Lower, Sopan Pharmaceuticals Emerges as Top Gainer

Nepal’s stock market closed slightly lower on the final trading day of the week. The NEPSE Index declined by 4 points to settle at 2,724.03.
A total of 98.56 lakh shares of 342 listed companies were traded, generating a turnover of more than Rs. 4.34 billion during the session.
In terms of turnover, Central Finance Limited emerged as the most actively traded company, recording transactions worth over Rs. 255.3 million.
Sopan Pharmaceuticals was the top-performing stock of the day, with its share price rising by more than 14 percent, delivering the highest gain to investors.
On the losing side, Kalinchowk Hydropower recorded the steepest decline, with its share price falling by more than 10 percent.
Although trading volume remained strong, the benchmark index ended the week in negative territory, reflecting a mixed sentiment among investors in the market.
