NEPSE Ends Week With Mild Gain, Turnover Exceeds Rs. 4.5 Billion
The Nepal stock market closed the week with a slight gain of 1.63 points at 2702.11, with mixed performance across listed companies and total turnover crossing Rs. 4.5 billion.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index ended the final trading day of the week with a marginal gain of 1.63 points, closing at 2702.11, after a decline in the previous session.
Out of the total listed companies, 140 saw their share prices decline while 116 advanced, and 17 remained unchanged.
The Sensitive Index also rose slightly by 0.31 points to reach 463.98. Among 13 sub-indices, 7 posted gains while 6 declined, indicating a mixed market performance.
Despite the modest rise in the index, total turnover remained strong, exceeding Rs. 4.53 billion. A total of 353 companies were traded, with over 10.9 million shares changing hands across 61,170 transactions.
Market data also showed that one company hit a positive circuit limit during the trading session.
