NEPSE Falls 19.67 Points as All Sector Indices Decline; Daily Turnover Drops to Rs 4.61 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) extended its losses on Thursday, with the benchmark index falling 19.67 points (0.75%) to close at 2,601.92 points. Market turnover also declined compared to the previous trading session, reflecting weaker investor participation.

All 13 sectoral indices ended the session in negative territory. The Trading sub-index recorded the sharpest decline, falling 2.36%, while the Development Bank, Manufacturing & Processing, and Mutual Fund sectors each dropped by more than 1%.

Among individual stocks, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha emerged as the day's top gainer, with its share price surging 12.68%. Shares of Snow Rivers Limited also climbed by more than 11.5%, while gains in other advancing stocks remained below 6%.

On the losing side, BOK Debenture 2086 'Ka' recorded the steepest decline, with its price falling 8.66% during the day's trading.

Trading activity also weakened, with the total daily turnover falling to Rs 4.61 billion, down from approximately Rs 4.82 billion recorded in Wednesday's session, indicating relatively subdued market participation.
