Turnover Nears Rs 7.5 Billion

Nepal’s stock market benchmark NEPSE index declined further on Monday, falling 30.60 points to close at 2,570.18 points. Despite the decline in the index, trading activity increased compared to the previous session.
A total of 368 listed companies participated in trading, with 41.72 million shares exchanged worth Rs 7.46 billion. The total turnover increased by around 9% compared to Friday. All sectoral indices ended in negative territory, with the Trading sector recording the highest decline of 2.30%.
Among the gainers, investors in Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, Citizen Bank Debenture, and Atmanirbhar Laghubitta saw the highest gains. Meanwhile, shareholders of Upakar Laghubitta, Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower, and Divyashwori Hydropower faced the biggest losses during the trading session.
