NEPSE Falls 8.30 Points Despite Higher Turnover of Rs. 4.41 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index ended lower on Friday, the final trading day of the week, snapping its two-day gaining streak. The benchmark index fell by 8.30 points to close at 2,653.40.

Despite the decline in the index, market turnover increased. Shares worth Rs. 4.41 billion were traded during the session, compared to Rs. 4.11 billion recorded on Thursday.

Three stocks—Sanigad Hydro, Snow Rivers, and Kalanga Hydro—hit the positive circuit limit during the day's trading.

Meanwhile, Nepal Finance gained nearly 15%, while Khani Khola Hydropower advanced by more than 11.5%, making them among the day's top gainers.

On the losing side, Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company recorded the steepest decline, with its share price dropping 13.65%.

Among the 13 sectoral indices, five sectors closed higher, while eight sectors ended in the red, reflecting mixed market performance.
