NEPSE Falls for Third Consecutive Session, Closes at 2,660 Points
Nepal's stock market extended its losing streak for a third straight trading day as the NEPSE index dropped 14.45 points to 2,660, while daily turnover exceeded Rs 4.41 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend on Wednesday, declining for the third consecutive trading session. The benchmark index fell by 14.45 points to close at 2,660.
A total of 338 listed companies were traded during the session. Share prices of 62 companies advanced, while 202 companies posted losses. Overall market turnover reached more than Rs 4.41 billion, with over 10.77 million shares changing hands. Trading volume was slightly higher than the previous session.
Sector-wise, only the Finance and Trading indices managed to remain in positive territory. All other sectors closed lower, with the Manufacturing and Processing Index recording the biggest decline of 1.10 percent.
Among individual stocks, investors in Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower, Yambaling Hydropower, and Bhujung Hydropower posted the highest gains. On the losing side, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, Himalayan Bank Debenture holders, and Bagmati Hydropower Development Company investors suffered the steepest declines.
The continued market correction reflects cautious investor sentiment, with analysts closely watching upcoming economic and policy developments for future market direction.
