NEPSE Falls for Third Straight Session, Closes at 2,804.17 Points
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued its downward trend, closing at 2,804.17 points as most sectors declined, with only a few managing gains amid moderate trading activity.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index extended its losing streak for the third consecutive trading day, declining by 2.95 points (0.10%) to close at 2,804.17 on Wednesday. The market had already dropped by 18.10 points in the previous session, reflecting continued bearish sentiment.
The index opened at 2,810.06 and fluctuated throughout the session, hitting an intraday high of 2,818.20 and a low of 2,762.37.
A total of 17.58 million shares of 342 companies were traded through 121,433 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs. 7.81 billion. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.82 trillion, with float market capitalization at Rs. 15.91 trillion.
National Hydro Power Company Limited led the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 41.34 crores, closing at Rs. 310 per share.
During the session, three companies — SKHEL, PCIL, and SIPD — hit the positive circuit limit of 15%.
On the downside, Hotel Forest Inn Limited recorded the highest loss, dropping by 10.75% to close at Rs. 1,237.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index was the top gainer with a 0.58% increase, while the Trading Index saw the biggest decline of 1.10%. Overall, only five sectors closed in the green, while the majority ended lower.
