NEPSE Falls to 2,587 Points as Shares of 207 Companies Decline; Debenture Trading Gains Attention
Nepal’s NEPSE index fell 11.90 points to close at 2,587.25 on Friday, while turnover declined to Rs. 4.29 billion and debenture trading attracted notable investor activity.

The NEPSE index declined 11.90 points to close at 2,587.25 on Friday, the final trading day of the week.
Market turnover also declined compared to the previous trading session. After recording a turnover of Rs. 4.89 billion on Thursday, total trading volume stood at Rs. 4.29 billion on Friday.
A total of 119,125,50 shares of 356 securities were traded during the session. Among the traded companies, share prices of 207 companies declined, while 61 companies recorded gains and 11 remained unchanged.
Most sectoral indices declined, except for the mutual fund and trading sectors. The Manufacturing and Processing sector recorded the largest decline, falling 0.73%.
Among the securities gaining in value, NMB Debenture 10.75%–2089/2090 recorded the highest increase, rising 14.29% to Rs. 1,400. Similarly, 10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 increased 8.80% to Rs. 1,360.
On the declining side, Sindhu Bikas Bank recorded the largest drop, falling 8.55% to Rs. 448 per share. Dhaulagiri Laghubitta also declined 4.95% to Rs. 1,090.10.
Debenture trading recorded notable activity in terms of turnover. 10.75% SBL Debenture 2089 recorded transactions worth Rs. 265.3 million, while Reliance Spinning Mills recorded share transactions worth Rs. 155.3 million.
