NEPSE Gains 16.38 Points; Daily Turnover Crosses Rs. 4.49 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index climbed by 16.38 points on Thursday, while the daily trading turnover reached over Rs. 4.49 billion amid gains in hydropower and insurance stocks.

NEPSE Gains 16.38 Points; Daily Turnover Crosses Rs. 4.49 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed higher on Thursday, gaining 16.38 points to settle at 2,758.49.

According to NEPSE, the Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large-cap companies, also increased by 2.40 points to close at 471.89.

A total of 10,888,739 shares of 336 companies were traded during the day, generating a turnover of Rs. 4.49 billion.

Among the traded companies, share prices of 203 companies advanced, while 57 declined. The prices of eight companies remained unchanged.

Based on turnover, Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company emerged as the top-traded company of the day. Other actively traded companies included Ridi Power Company, National Hydropower, API Power Company, and Bungal Hydropower.

Similarly, investors of Crest Micro Life Insurance, Mabilung Hydropower, Bungal Hydropower, Aankhu Khola Hydropower, and Super Khudi Hydropower recorded notable gains during the session.

On the losing side, investors in NIC Asia Balanced Fund, Global IME Samunnat Yojana-2, ABL Debenture 2091, Sanima Bank Debenture, and Swabhiman Laghubitta faced declines.
