NEPSE Gains 22.85 Points as Turnover Jumps To Rs. 6.74 Billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit gain on the final trading day of the week, rising 22.85 points, or 0.87%, to close at 2,647.22.
The benchmark index had gained 11.93 points in the previous trading session.
NEPSE opened at 2,626.83 and moved between an intraday high of 2,647.48 and a low of 2,614.12 before closing at 2,647.22.
Total market turnover stood at Rs. 6.74 arba, with 21,272,761 shares traded across 345 companies through 64,072 transactions.
The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.53 kharba, while float market capitalization reached Rs. 15.43 kharba.
Top Traded, Gaining and Losing Stocks
Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 32.13 crore. Its stock closed at Rs. 227.
Snow Rivers Limited (SNORL) led the gainers, rising 13.66% to close at Rs. 1,057.
Meanwhile, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) recorded the highest decline, falling 15% to a last traded price of Rs. 499.80.
Sector Performance
The Banking SubIndex recorded the highest sectoral gain, rising 1.59%.
In contrast, the Others Index recorded the highest decline, falling 0.11%.
