NEPSE Loses 6.38 Points as Share Prices of 167 Companies Decline
NEPSE fell 6.38 points to 2,572.34 on Wednesday, ending the previous day’s market gains.

The positive momentum seen in Nepal’s stock market on Tuesday failed to continue into Wednesday. The NEPSE index declined 6.38 points to close at 2,572.34.
A total of 359 companies were traded during Wednesday’s session. Share prices of 100 companies increased, while 167 companies recorded declines.
Investors traded 10,300,688 shares through 39,466 transactions, generating a total turnover of Rs. 3.748 billion. The trading amount was 19.44% higher compared with Tuesday.
Among the listed sectoral indices, only the commercial banking index recorded a gain. All other sectoral indices declined, with the trading sector suffering the largest drop of 1.38%.
Ghalemdi Hydropower, NIC Asia Balance Fund, Ingwa Hydropower, ICFC Finance debentures, and Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower were among the investments that recorded comparatively stronger gains. Meanwhile, Global IME Samunnat Yojana, SBL Debenture, Mega Mutual Fund, Suryakunda Hydro Electric, and Yangwarling Hydropower were among the biggest decliners.
