NEPSE Rebounds After Seven-Day Losing Streak, Surges 44.59 Points

Nepal's stock market staged a strong recovery on Wednesday, ending its seven-session losing streak with a significant rise in the benchmark NEPSE Index.

At the close of trading, the NEPSE Index gained 44.59 points, or 1.70%, to settle at 2,652.93 points. The rebound reflected improved investor sentiment after a week of continuous market declines.

Out of the listed companies traded during the day, 252 companies recorded gains, while 17 companies declined and six companies remained unchanged.

The Sensitive Index, which tracks the performance of Class 'A' companies, also increased by 5.77 points to close at 458.57 points.

All 13 sectoral indices ended the session in positive territory, indicating broad-based buying across the market.

The market recorded a total turnover of Rs. 3.86 billion, with 9.55 million shares of 362 listed companies traded through 56,850 transactions.

One listed company also hit the positive circuit limit, closing at the maximum daily permissible gain.
