NEPSE Resumes Trading in Bindhyabasini Hydropower After Human Error Clarification
NEPSE has resumed trading in Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has lifted the trading suspension on Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited (BHDC) after accepting the company’s clarification regarding an error in its board meeting disclosure.
The issue arose after the company’s board decision concerning dividend proposals for the fiscal year 2082/83 was uploaded to NEPSE’s online system on Ashwin 27, 2083, at 5:59 PM. The disclosure prompted scrutiny over the timing and accuracy of the reported board meeting details.
In its clarification dated Ashwin 28, 2083, Bindhyabasini Hydropower stated that the board meeting had actually been held on Ashwin 27 at 3:30 PM. According to the company, the incorrect date was recorded due to human error.
To support its explanation, the company submitted a certified copy of the official board meeting minutes to NEPSE. After reviewing the clarification and supporting documents, the stock exchange decided to resume trading in the company’s shares.
However, NEPSE has cautioned Bindhyabasini Hydropower to comply strictly with stock exchange listing regulations and disclosure requirements in the future. The incident highlights the importance of accurate and timely disclosures by listed companies to maintain transparency and investor confidence.
