NEPSE Suspends BHDC Trading Over Delayed Market Information
Nepal Stock Exchange has suspended trading of Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company (BHDC) after the company delayed disclosing important decisions related to its AGM, book closure, and dividend distribution.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has suspended share trading of Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited (BHDC) for failing to disclose important company decisions within the required timeframe.
The company’s Board of Directors met on Ashwin 26, 2083, to finalize key matters related to its Annual General Meeting (AGM), book closure date, and dividend distribution. However, the company uploaded the information to NEPSE’s online portal only at 5:59 PM on Ashwin 27, 2083.
Securities regulations require listed companies to disclose price-sensitive decisions to NEPSE on the same day or before the market opens on the next trading day.
Following the delay, NEPSE decided to suspend trading of BHDC shares on Ashwin 28, 2083, citing non-compliance with disclosure requirements. The exchange has also directed the company to submit a written clarification within three working days, explaining the reason for the late disclosure.
