Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Concludes 19th AGM, Approves All Resolutions
Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta's 19th Annual General Meeting unanimously approved all ordinary and special resolutions, including proposals for capital enhancement and future merger or acquisition.

Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has successfully concluded its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at White Palace Banquet, Kaushaltar, Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur, under the chairmanship of Rajkumar Rai.
The AGM had initially been scheduled for Asar 32, but was postponed due to the lack of the required quorum. Following a decision by the Board of Directors, the meeting was reconvened and conducted in accordance with the Companies Act, banking regulations, and the institution's Articles of Association.
During the meeting, Chairman Rai presented the annual report for FY 2024/25 (2081/82 BS), highlighting the institution's financial improvements, corporate governance initiatives, risk management practices, reduction of non-performing loans, and future strategic priorities.
A total of 21 shareholders raised suggestions related to non-performing loan management, improving loss-making branches, human resource management, resolving internal disputes, holding AGMs on time, and ensuring consistent returns to investors. Chief Executive Officer Keshav Kumar Poudel responded by stating that the institution's business performance is gradually improving and that the recommendations would be incorporated into future operational plans.
The AGM unanimously approved all five ordinary resolutions and all four special resolutions. Key special resolutions include increasing the institution's capital after obtaining regulatory approval, amending the Memorandum and Articles of Association, and authorizing the Board to pursue merger or acquisition opportunities with similar microfinance institutions if deemed necessary.
