NIFRA Offers 1.08 Million Founder Shares for Sale at Rs. 100 Per Share

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has announced the sale of 1.08 million founder shares currently owned by IME Limited.

According to the bank, prevailing regulations require founder shares to be offered first to existing founder shareholders before being made available to other investors.

As a result, only current founder shareholders of NIFRA are eligible to apply for the shares at this stage.

The bank has fixed the minimum selling price at Rs. 100 per share. Interested founder shareholders must submit a written application along with the required documents within 35 days from the publication date of the notice.

Applications are to be submitted to the Legal Department at the bank’s central office in Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

NIFRA stated that if no applications are received from existing founder shareholders within the specified period, the shares may subsequently be offered to other interested individuals or institutions.

The sale of such a significant volume of founder shares could potentially impact the bank’s ownership structure and has attracted attention within Nepal’s capital market.
