NMB Bank Posts Record Rs. 4 Billion Net Profit in FY 2082/83 Fourth Quarter
NMB Bank has crossed the Rs. 4 billion net profit milestone for the first time, reporting a 40.6% year-on-year increase in its fourth-quarter earnings, driven by strong growth in interest income, fee income, and trading revenue.

NMB Bank Limited has released its unaudited fourth-quarter financial results for FY 2082/83, reporting a historic achievement by posting a net profit of more than Rs. 4 billion for the first time.
The bank recorded a net profit of Rs. 4.01 billion during the review period, representing a 40.6% increase compared to Rs. 2.85 billion earned in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
NMB Bank reported distributable profit of Rs. 1.87 billion, with distributable earnings per share standing at 9.08%.
Supported by effective asset and liability management, the bank's Net Interest Income (NII) increased by 17.5% to Rs. 9.42 billion. Fee and commission income also rose by 16.6% to Rs. 2.83 billion, reflecting continued growth in digital and transaction banking services.
Meanwhile, net trading income surged by 89% to Rs. 681.42 million, driven by improved treasury operations and foreign exchange trading performance.
The bank also reported stronger profitability indicators, with Return on Equity (ROE) improving to 11.58% and Return on Assets (ROA) reaching 1.04%.
