NMB Bank Limited has decided to distribute dividends to its shareholders from the profit earned during fiscal year 2082/83. The decision was made by the bank’s 517th Board of Directors meeting, subject to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

The bank will distribute a 7% cash dividend on its paid-up capital to ordinary shareholders. The total cash dividend amounts to Rs. 1.3499 billion, including dividend tax.

Similarly, the bank has decided to provide a 5.25% cash dividend on its NMB premium non-cumulative preference shares. The dividend under this category amounts to Rs. 122 million and will be distributed proportionately based on the allotment date.

NMB Bank has clarified that it will not issue bonus shares this year. The bank currently has paid-up capital of Rs. 19.285 billion in ordinary shares and Rs. 3 billion in preference shares.
