NRB Invites Bids to Mint 400 Million Rs. 1 Coins for Nepal
Nepal Rastra Bank has invited bids from pre-qualified security minting companies for the design, minting, supply and delivery of 400 million Rs. 1 .
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has invited bids for the designing, minting, supply and delivery of 400 million Nepalese Rs. 1 denomination coins.
The bidding process is open to pre-qualified security minting companies under an international competitive bidding procedure.
Interested bidders can purchase the bidding documents until November 2, 2026. Sealed bids must be submitted by 12 noon on November 3, 2026, with the bids scheduled to be opened at 1 PM on the same day.
According to the bidding notice, participating companies must submit a minimum bid security of USD 148,000.
The procurement is expected to add a significant volume of Rs. 1 coins to Nepal’s currency supply once the minting and delivery process is completed.
