Oli Calls Government a “Bundle of Bias”, Rejects Asset Probe Commission

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has launched a sharp attack on the government, describing it as a “bundle of prejudice” and accusing it of selectively targeting opposition leaders through an asset investigation mechanism.

Speaking at a program in Kathmandu, Oli alleged that the state apparatus is being used to target leaders from older political parties while sparing others, including new political actors and the military.

He declared that he does not recognize the newly formed asset investigation commission and will not submit any asset declaration.

“I will not submit any statement. This is not a state; it is a bundle of prejudice,” Oli said.

He further argued that existing constitutional bodies are sufficient for conducting asset investigations and accused the government of forming an extra-constitutional mechanism to pressure opposition figures.

Oli also claimed that his past asset records were destroyed in earlier incidents, leaving nothing to submit.

He urged the government to abandon what he called retaliatory politics and return to constitutional procedures.
