President Paudel Authenticates Four Key Bills, Clearing Path for Implementation

President Ram Chandra Paudel has authenticated four important amendment bills concerning public procurement, anti-money laundering, cooperatives, and health science institutions.
According to the Office of the President, the authenticated bills include the Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083, the Money Laundering Prevention (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083, the Cooperative (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, and the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Health Science Institutions, 2083.
The bills were passed by the Federal Parliament and submitted to the President for authentication. With the President's approval, they have now entered the implementation phase as provided by the Constitution.
The amendments are expected to improve transparency in public procurement, strengthen Nepal's legal framework against money laundering, enhance governance in the cooperative sector, and modernize legal provisions related to health science institutions.
The government believes these reforms will contribute to better public service delivery, stronger financial governance, improved cooperative regulation, and a more efficient health sector.
