Price of gold Surge Sharply in Nepal, Jumping by Rs. 20,500 Per Tola in a Single Day

Gold prices in Nepal witnessed a sharp rise today, with the price increasing by Rs. 20,500 per tola in a single trading day, marking a notable surge in the precious metals market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has reached Rs. 311,100 per tola, reflecting strong upward pressure in the domestic bullion market.

Market analysts attribute such sudden increases to fluctuations in international gold prices, changes in currency exchange rates, and growing demand for safe-haven assets amid global economic uncertainty.

Alongside gold, silver prices have also moved upward. The price of silver increased by Rs. 305 per tola, reaching Rs. 5,345 per tola in the domestic market.

The continuous rise in precious metal prices has impacted both traders and consumers, with jewellers reporting cautious buying activity as customers adjust to the higher rates.

Experts suggest that volatility in the global commodities market may continue to influence gold and silver prices in the coming days, depending on international economic and geopolitical developments.
