Prime Minister Balen Shah to Hold First Formal Meeting with Private Sector Representatives

Prime Minister Balen Shah is set to hold his first formal meeting with representatives of Nepal's private sector since assuming office.

According to sources at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday with representatives from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), and other leading business organizations.

The private sector has repeatedly expressed concerns over the lack of effective dialogue with the government, stating that limited communication has weakened business confidence and affected the investment climate. Business organizations had been seeking a meeting with the Prime Minister for an extended period.

The discussion is expected to focus on Nepal's current economic situation, the investment environment, challenges faced by the private sector, and ways to strengthen collaboration between the government and the business community.

Business leaders hope the meeting will pave the way for policy reforms, improved public-private cooperation, and renewed confidence in Nepal's economy.
