Public Holiday Announced Nationwide on the Occasion of Republic Day
The Government of Nepal has declared a nationwide public holiday today to mark Republic Day, resulting in the closure of government offices, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

A nationwide public holiday has been observed today, Friday, on the occasion of Nepal’s Republic Day. Continuing the annual tradition, the Government of Nepal has once again declared a public holiday to commemorate the historic day.
Due to the public holiday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), government offices, banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies across the country remain closed today.
Republic Day is celebrated every year on Jestha 15 to honor the establishment of the federal democratic republic system in Nepal. Various programs and ceremonies are being organized nationwide to mark the occasion.
Meanwhile, the government is also preparing to unveil the annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 today through a joint session of the Federal Parliament.
