Public Holiday in Bagmati Province Today, But NEPSE Remains Open
The Bagmati Province Government has declared a public holiday today across the province. However, NEPSE trading will continue as usual.
The Bagmati Province Government has declared a public holiday across the province today on the occasion of the “Provincial Government Official Language Day.”
According to a notice published in the provincial gazette on Chaitra 23, 2082 BS, the holiday applies to all government offices and public institutions under Bagmati Province.
However, the public holiday will not affect operations at the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). NEPSE spokesperson Murahari Parajuli stated that the stock market remains closed only during public holidays announced by the federal government.
As a result, despite the provincial holiday in Bagmati, NEPSE trading and operations will continue regularly today.
