Sanvi Energy Resumes Power Generation from Jogmai Cascade Hydropower Project

Sanvi Energy has resumed electricity generation from the 5.2 MW Jogmai Cascade Hydropower Project located in Ilam. The company informed the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) that the project has returned to operation after the completion of repair and restoration works.

Power generation had remained completely suspended since 17–19 Ashwin 2082 (October 2025), when continuous heavy rainfall in Koshi Province caused significant damage to several physical structures of the hydropower project.

According to the company, all damaged infrastructure has now been repaired and restored, allowing the project to resume normal electricity generation. The restart is expected to restore the project's contribution to the national power grid and improve the company's operational performance.
