Shivam Cement Limited has distributed warm clothes, school bags and various educational materials to students studying at Apanga Nawajeevan Kendra in Kathmandu.

According to the company, the materials were provided to support the students’ education and make their daily lives easier.

The initiative also continues the company’s earlier support for Sandesh Budha Magar, a student from Rolpa who was born without functional arms and continues his education by writing with his feet. After his story received media attention, Shivam Cement coordinated with Apanga Nawajeevan Kendra and Khagendra Nawajeevan Special Education Secondary School to support his education through the secondary level.

Under the arrangement, Apanga Nawajeevan Kendra manages his accommodation and care, while the school provides special education. Shivam Cement has been covering expenses related to his education and other essential needs.

The company said it plans to continue initiatives aimed at supporting education and inclusion for children with special needs.
