Shivam Cements’ profit falls 1.72% to Rs 78.44 crore as sales revenue drops 10.87% and financial expenses increase.

Shivam Cements Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 78.44 crore for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2082/83, down 1.72% from Rs 79.81 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The slight decline in profitability came as the company’s sales revenue fell 10.87% during the review period. Gross profit also declined 7.84%, indicating continued pressure on the company’s core business performance.
Meanwhile, the company’s financial expenses increased 19.44%, adding further pressure on earnings. Despite this, total expenses declined 13.25% compared to the previous year.
The decline in profit was also reflected in the company’s earnings per share (EPS), which fell by 60 paisa to Rs 14.03.
Shivam Cements reported a net worth per share of Rs 188.76 at the end of Ashad, while its reported P/E ratio stood at 44.27 times.
The company has a total paid-up capital of Rs 5.59 billion and has accumulated around Rs 4.96 billion in reserves under other equity.
Overall, Shivam Cements’ results show a modest decline in profitability, with lower sales revenue and higher financial expenses weighing on earnings despite a reduction in total expenses.
