Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dol Prasad Aryal, has directed lawmakers not to engage in share trading while parliamentary sessions are in progress.

During a meeting of the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee, Speaker Aryal said he had received reports that some lawmakers were buying and selling shares using laptops during House proceedings. He instructed members to immediately stop such activities, emphasizing that parliamentary sessions should remain focused on legislative discussions and official responsibilities.

In addition to prohibiting share trading, the Speaker also instructed lawmakers to avoid unnecessary gatherings in the Parliament lobby during meetings. He advised members to remain inside the House chamber and use the cafeteria only when necessary or stay outside the Parliament premises if not attending the session.

The meeting also discussed lawmakers' dress code and conduct. Speaker Aryal urged chief whips and whips of all political parties to ensure that members wear appropriate attire, display official parliamentary logos, and comply with the prescribed dress code.

Furthermore, he instructed lawmakers not to wear dark sunglasses during parliamentary sessions, stating that maintaining the dignity, discipline, and decorum of Parliament should remain a priority.
