Traffic police fined Speaker DP Aryal’s motorcade for a lane violation in Thapathali, highlighting strict enforcement even for VIP vehicles.
The motorcade of DP Aryal has been fined by traffic police for violating lane discipline in Kathmandu.
According to officials from the Valley Traffic Police Office, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the Speaker’s convoy crossed lanes while traveling from Thapathali bridge towards Maitighar.
Due to the VIP status of the vehicle, traffic police did not stop it immediately on the road. Instead, officers followed the convoy to Singha Durbar and later issued a ticket for the violation.
Authorities confirmed that the penalty was imposed for “lane violation,” emphasizing that traffic rules apply equally to all, including high-ranking officials.
The Speaker’s motorcade includes a lead escort vehicle operated by police, while the trailing vehicle carries military personnel as part of standard security protocol.
