Special Court Extends Bishnu Paudel's Judicial Remand by Five More Days

The Special Court has extended the judicial remand of CPN-UML Vice Chair and former Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel by an additional five days to facilitate further investigation into an alleged money laundering case.

The extension was granted on Thursday by a bench comprising judges Hemanta Rawal, Dilliratna Shrestha, and Umesh Koirala, marking the third remand extension in the ongoing investigation.

Paudel remains in judicial custody after the Department of Money Laundering Investigation (DMLI) requested additional time to continue its probe. He was produced before the court for the remand hearing.

Authorities arrested Paudel on Asar 8 (June 22) from Surkhet in connection with an investigation into alleged money laundering. The investigation by the Department of Money Laundering Investigation is still underway.
