Students Protest Class 12 Results, Demand Rechecking of Answer Sheets
Students have expressed dissatisfaction with the recently published Class 12 examination results and staged a protest in Kathmandu.

Students across Nepal have raised concerns over the recently published Class 12 examination results, questioning the credibility and accuracy of the evaluation process. Demonstrators gathered at Maitighar in Kathmandu, demanding that answer sheets be rechecked and reviewed.
According to protesting students, many received grades significantly lower than expected despite performing well in their examinations. They argue that the results do not accurately reflect their performance and have called for a transparent review of the marking process.
The students have also criticized the speed at which the results were published, alleging that the rush to release results may have compromised the quality of evaluation. They have questioned the criteria and procedures used to finalize the results within a short timeframe.
Another key demand is that any rechecking or re-evaluation process should be conducted free of charge. Students argue that imposing additional fees would place an unfair financial burden on families already affected by educational expenses.
The protest has intensified discussions around examination transparency, accountability, and quality assurance within Nepal’s education system. Attention is now focused on how the National Examination Board (NEB) will respond to the students’ demands and concerns.
