Subash Koirala has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rastriya Beema Company Limited, following the resignation of former CEO Dr. Shivahari Shrestha.

The company's Board of Directors accepted Dr. Shrestha's resignation and decided to hand over the responsibility of Acting CEO to Koirala, who was previously serving as the company's Deputy CEO.

Company Secretary Kabita Lama confirmed that the board made the decision following Shrestha's resignation, allowing Koirala to take charge of the day-to-day leadership of the state-owned non-life insurance company.

Koirala brings significant experience from Nepal's insurance and financial services sector to the new position. His professional background includes work in insurance claims, human resource management and banking operations.

He began his career at Rastriya Beema Sansthan in June 2010, where he worked for around eight years. During his tenure, he gained experience in various areas of the insurance business before moving to Rastriya Beema Company.

In April 2018, Koirala joined Rastriya Beema Company Limited as part of its executive team. He subsequently progressed through the company's senior management positions, eventually becoming Deputy CEO.

His appointment as Acting CEO now places him at the helm of the state-owned non-life insurance company during a period of transition following the departure of its previous chief executive.

Koirala's experience within the company and his previous senior management responsibilities are expected to provide continuity in the company's operations while the process for determining its permanent leadership is addressed.

The appointment also means that the company's existing management team will continue to oversee its operations under Koirala's leadership in the interim.
