The Supreme Court of Nepal has announced a mourning holiday following the death of former Justice Haragovind Singh Pradhan, who passed away at the age of 97 on Wednesday.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala, all judicial proceedings have been suspended for the day as a mark of respect to the late former justice.

The Supreme Court of Nepal stated that all benches will remain closed today, and regular court operations will not take place.

The judiciary expressed deep sorrow over his demise and extended condolences, honoring his long-standing contribution to the legal system of Nepal. The former justice passed away on Jestha 6, and the mourning holiday was observed on Jestha 7.
