Suraj Vaidya, Chairman of Vaidya Organization of Industries and Trading Houses, has been unanimously elected as the Dean of the Honorary Consular Corps Nepal (HCCN) during the organization's General Assembly in Kathmandu. Pasang Dawa Sherpa was also elected as the new Vice Dean.

Following his election, Vaidya said HCCN would play a more active role in Nepal's economic development by promoting economic diplomacy, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), and strengthening international partnerships. He also announced plans to organize promotional roadshows in Europe, enhance the professional role of honorary consuls, and work closely with the government to position Nepal as a safe and attractive investment destination.
